About Us

Come as you are

Yogi was created with a clear purpose: to cultivate a space that captures the authentic spirit of yoga and fosters a genuine sense of community. The name “Yogi” is rooted in the Sanskrit word for “union,” which reflects our philosophy—connecting with oneself, with others, and with the world around us. We built Yogi to be a space rooted in community and connection. Allow it to be your personal sanctuary, where you feel seen and validated by yourself and others. No matter where you are on your spiritual growth journey, we are proud of you, we see you, you are worthy, and you are loved.

Yogi makes its mark as a fresh take on the hot yoga scene here in Amsterdam, and we are stationed in the vibrant Jordaan. The space itself—minimalistic, yet still warm–facilitating a sense of belonging and shared purpose for all our Yogi’s.

Our studio offers a wide variety of class styles, workshops, and events, so whether you’re craving a deep, meditative flow or something more energetic and dynamic, you’ll find what speaks to you. We also bring some fun with Yoga Sculpt & Barre classes, a great way to tone your body while staying grounded in mindfulness. But more than just a workout, this is a spiritual sanctuary where everyone is welcome to show up exactly as they are. Here, we celebrate connection, from the moments of quiet reflection to the shared energy of a group class. This studio is our heart and soul, and we’ve built it to be a place where you can feel supported, inspired, and truly at home.

Practicing in the Heat

At Yogi, we believe in the transformative power of practicing yoga in a heated environment. Our classes are designed to leave you feeling rejuvenated, balanced, and stronger—both inside and out. The heat not only deepens your practice but also brings a wide range of benefits that enhance both your physical and mental well-being.

  • When you practice yoga in a heated room, your muscles warm up more quickly, allowing for greater flexibility and a deeper stretch, reducing the risk of injury.

  • Hot yoga helps to detoxify the body through sweating.

  • Practicing in the heat provides a mild cardiovascular boost, increasing your heart rate and speeding up your metabolism.

  • Beyond the physical benefits, practicing hot yoga challenges your focus and concentration, encouraging a meditative state of mind as you learn to move with greater intention and breathe more deeply.

  • Over time, hot yoga builds mental resilience and clarity, as you learn to find calm amidst the intensity

We can’t wait to welcome you to our Yogi family. Whether you’re here to sweat, stretch, or just find some peace, we’ll grow, flow, and thrive together!
